About The Project
Samsung's shop app was in need of a refresh. In tandem with a website refresh the shop app team wanted to update the app to align with web enhancements and look for opportunities to improve and enhance the current experience.

Challenge
The previous shop app was heavily focused on deals and promotions with did not reflect the current brand expression and the navigation was cumbersome and not clearly organized making it difficult to optimize key user journeys and find homes for new content.
Workshops
Along with extensive consumer interviews we also conducted workshops with key stakeholders across US and Global Samsung product teams to gather feature requirements and build out a vision for the future.
Roadmap
A phased approach to feature enhancements, technology debt, and product design workflows laid out a vision for where the teams need to be while not overwhelming resources that are continuing to deliver today.
Refresh
Navigation, content components, and search flows were all updated to reduce promotion clutter and make the experience more personalized to the consumer by building out more robust relevance models to serve up content in more meaningful ways.
